Indian Anniversary Celebrations ... !!

So those of you who know me well, know that we got married twice. Once in the US and once in India ... the traditional way. Today is our 5th (Indian) anniversary and what better way is there to remember it but with old pictures.

.... the Groom's party (Baraat)!!
We remembered the good times, the people who were with us ... Indian Mom & Dad, American Mom & Dad, Srishti .. my dear didi, Marcie and Jen Seidel, Jim Bruner, .. all my lovely cousins and extended family. And we miss the wonderful people who aren't there anymore ... but live on in our hearts as memories!!

I miss you Badi ma!
I miss you, Daddy!
We celebrated our Indian anniversary with a lovely dinner at Amber India. The food was excellent, as was the service and ambience.  We had the Jaipuri Bhindi (Okra slivers, fennel seeds, tomato & dried mango), Dal Amber (Black lentils simmered with cream, tomatoes and spices ), Saffron Rice and Naan. Tony also got the Basil Chicken Kebab (White meat chicken, basil & yogurt marinade). The food was exceptional and we would certainly go back there if we can during this trip. Umm umm good!

Dal, Chawal, Bhindi and Naan! Bliss!!
